A Special Visit to the Cultural Museum of African Art
The Cultural Museum of African Art/Eric Edwards Collection is honored to welcome H.E. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, Vice President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, for a special visit to the museum.
📅 Monday, September 21, 2026
🕚 11:00 a.m.
📍 1360 Fulton Street, Second Floor, West Plaza, Brooklyn, NY 11216
The program will include brief remarks, a guided viewing of artifacts from Equatorial Guinea, and a special presentation recognizing the government and people of Equatorial Guinea for their early support of the museum.
According to museum founder Dr. Eric Edwards, Equatorial Guinea was the first African government to provide financial support to the museum—support that came at an important time in the museum’s development.
We look forward to recognizing this history and welcoming the Vice President to the Cultural Museum of African Art. 🇬🇶🌍
