The Cultural Museum of African Art/Eric Edwards Collection will welcome H.E. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, Vice President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, for a special visit to the museum on Monday, September 21, 2026.
The program will include brief remarks, a guided viewing of artifacts from Equatorial Guinea, and a special presentation recognizing the government and people of Equatorial Guinea for their early support of the museum. A photo opportunity with museum leadership and invited guests will follow.
According to museum founder Dr. Eric Edwards, the government of Equatorial Guinea was the first African government to provide financial support to the museum. The visit provides an opportunity for the museum to recognize that early support and express its gratitude to the people and government of Equatorial Guinea.
